General Design Principles/Rules
- Natural white markings should stay as topmost marks on your design.
- For complicated designs, marking maps always help push your design through the queue.
- Imports should be relatively cleanly colored.
- Imports need to be PNGs with transparent background.
How to handle white and black markings.
White and black markings should always look white/black relative to the design.
These two colors are able to be slightly tinted, as long as they still cannot be confused with another darker color.
Additionally, white markings are able to fade very subtly on some of their edges, mimicking white markings in real life. Use this sparingly!
Marking Colors
Color rules for markings are fairly simple. The rarity of the base coat color your Kalacros has, determines the rarities it can use with Sateen and Aurora able to use all of them.
- Terrean > Terrean, Lithos
- Lithos > Terrean, Lithos, Sateen
- Sateen > Terrean, Lithos, Sateen, Aurora
- Aurora > Terrean, Lithos, Sateen, Aurora
Marking colors should never be too saturated!
Marking Edges
Marking edges are divided into defined and undefined edges. Most markings operate on these two rulesets. A third one exists somewhere in the middle of both, which is the semi-defined edge. This edge is specified on the markings that are allowed to use it.
Defined Edges
Defined edges are all edges types that allow you to define a markings shaping clearly.
Undefined Edges
Undefined edges are all edges types that shouldn't be to be overly shaped.
